Actions | Metolazone is a long acting, quinazoline-based sulfonamide thiazide-like, diuretic. Similar to the thiazides, metolazone acts on the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) and inhibits the sodium-chloride symporter, thereby preventing sodium and chloride reabsorption and excretion of water. |
