Actions | L-NAME is a hydrochloride obtained by combining N(gamma)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester with one equivalent of hydrochloric acid. It has a role as an EC 1.14.13.39 (nitric oxide synthase) inhibitor. It contains a N(gamma)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(1+).
L-NAME is a nive inhibitor of nitric oxide synthetases (NOS) for nNOS (bovine), eNOS (human), and iNOS
(murine), with Ki of 15 nM, 39 nM and 4.4 μM, respectively. |
