l General Information |
Product Name | Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) from calf intestine |
General deion | Adenosine aminohydrolase; Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is a zinc metalloenzyme. |
Assay | from calf intestine, pkg of 2 mL (10 mg); ~200 units/mg protein (At 25 °C with adenosine as the substrate.) |
Suitability | BioReagent |
l Physical and Chemical Information |
Physical form | Solution in 50% glycerol (v/v), 10 mM potassium phosphate, pH approximately 6. |
l Biological Information |
Biochem/Physiol Actions | Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is involved in the deamination of adenosine to inosine and 2′ deoxyadenosine to 2′-deoxyinosine. |
Application | Deamination of adenosine analogs to the corresponding inosine analogs. Adenosine deaminase has been used to pre-treat primary Kupffer cells. |
Preparation Note | Solution in 50% glycerol (v/v), 10 mM potassium phosphate, pH approximately 6; ADA (all preparations) may be dialyzed, without loss of activity, at 2 to 8 °C against 20 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7. The dialyzed preparation is stable at -15 to -25 °C. |
l Storage |
Storage temp. | -20°C |
