Biochem/Physiol Actions | Cytochrome c reductase is a flavoprotein that completes the oxidation-reduction chain between hexosemonophosphate and cytochrome c. The molecular weight of cytochrome c reductase is found to be approximately 78,000 Da. The prosthetic group of cytochrome c reductase is alloxazine mononucleotide. The enzyme is very unstable with respect to low pH and to denaturation by heat. |
